In a territory of 23 hectares, with streams running through the middle of the property, water directly from the fountain and a very green land, our base is a true paradise.
A land purchased by the Methodist church in 1955 for missionary work, but getting no candidates to do so, it became a forgotten property. Late in the 1960s, German missionaries from the mission of "determined Christianity" decided to buy the land and start their work for Bible translation and church planting among the Kaygangs and Guaranis, as well as education, health programs and income generation. After many years of serving and doing wonderful work with many fruits, most missionaries retired and the mission changed its work to other regions of the country.
Mas o desejo dos irmãos alemães de ver este lugar ainda sendo usado para engrandecer e honrar o nome de Jesus, permaneceu e a missão do Cristianismo decidido procurou a JOCUM Monte das Águias para saber se teríamos interesse no lugar e continuar a obra missionária a partir daqui. Um dos missionários, já nascido no Brasil, nos contactou para assumirmos o lugar e começar uma base da JOCUM. A generosidade dos missionários alemães em nos passar sua base missionária, onde vidas foram transformadas e suor e sangue foram derramados para desbravar territórios e construir nosso lindo campus, foi algo que nos encorajou muito e nos sentimos honrados por sermos escolhidos para continuar um trabalho numa “terra santa”. Você estará entrando em “sanctified land" where many brothers literally gave their lives for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus. YWAM is honored to inherit something that has glorified the name of our God. We hope to continue in the footsteps of these pioneers and heroes who have opened borders for the nations of the earth. This place was reserved by the Lord for missionary work long ago.
